The Research & Alpha team is the intellectual engine of Mathisys, combining rigorous academic research with practical market applications. We work closely with the High-Performance Systems team to implement our discoveries and the Innovation Lab to explore emerging technologies.
What You'll Do
Design, deploy, and manage high-availability, low-latency networks across trading environments.
Collaborate with global teams to support cross-location infrastructure.
Optimize performance across all layers of the network stack.
Automate configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting workflows.
Improve and maintain system observability, reliability, and uptime.
Must-Have Qualifications
2+ years of experience in networking and Linux-based systems.
Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols, routing, and switching.
Experience with network performance tuning and packet capture analysis.
Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting and configuration management.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise-grade monitoring tools.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to perform in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in financial or trading systems, colocation, or ultra-low-latency networks.
Familiarity with Arista, Onload, Cisco, Cumulus, or similar environments.
Exposure to global WANs, multicast, or FPGA-based networking.
